I studied fashion design at FIT and never rocked at the sewing it was always much easier to draw free hand or use photoshop. Growing up my Aunt was an expert seamstress and made wedding gowns for a living. I was soooo spoiled and would pick out fabric, sketch my idea and wella! Like magic the garment would be ready to be fitted for me... she was so talented and could even make the pattern from scratch!
Oh boy... I used to have an industrial grade, back in the day... but sold that one and kept the teacher addition singer.
Go back and fix it or sometimes (often) take a break from it or I'll just make more mistakes. With the amount of mistakes and brakes... projects are never created quickly.
A tree of life quilt I co-made with my friend from hand dyed fabric and free-hand sketch pattern. No pic yet, it's with her in Chicago... she is putting the backing on a it.
Looking to make some cute children's costumes for my little girl on the way. There are few in a book I found... honey comb and a peacock that are adorable.
Lived in NYC most my adult life... love it! And now am here in Austin with my husband and baby girl on the way! So excited to be here... I feel so fortunate to be able to be a part of this amazing city for both my family and myself!
