What is your history with sewing?

My Mom taught me hand sewing at age 5. I made doll clothes out of her fabric scraps. I've been sewing ever since off and on. I've made lots of kids pajamas, blouses, skirts, dresses, and an insanely durable corduroy jacket that my husband has used for 25 years, with several lining, elastic, and zipper replacements.

Tell us about your sewing machine(s).

A Pfaff hobbymatic 919-1, a gift in 1992, which I may love more than my husband. A Juki HZL-F400, purchased in 2012 for the walking foot, many decorative stitches, and buttonhole stitch options A second hand White serger model 534

When you make a mistake while sewing, what do you do?

Sigh... and reach for the seam ripper

What's your favorite thing you've ever sewn? Can we see a picture?

A white cotton print sundress with spaghetti straps. I'll try to find a picture.

If skill, time, and resources were no issue, what would you sew right now?

A new jacket for my husband

Introduction

I'm a mother of 4 grown children, which means I now have a sewing room and time to sew. I love cotton fabric and am partial to plaids and corduroy.
