What is your history with sewing?

I was breaking my mother's sewing machine at 5. I've been sewing for myself my entire life and had an internship at the UT Costume Shop. I've sold some stuff, but mostly sewing is about my own personal expression.

Tell us about your sewing machine(s).

I have a 2000 Singer that has only managed to break down the once (and I wasn't at the helm at the time so it hardly counts.) And a Janome MyLock serger.

When you make a mistake while sewing, what do you do?

Generally curse and rail at myself under my breath for a minute before deciding if it's a mistake I can work with or if I need to get out the seam ripper.

What's your favorite thing you've ever sewn? Can we see a picture?

I made this really cute cupcake summer dress for a friend. I do have pictures of it!

If skill, time, and resources were no issue, what would you sew right now?

I'm starting plans, creative board, and pattern swatches for making myself a (very selfish) rockabilly collection. Also I want to start making cute spoonflower lingerie and make a couple of Theogamia presents for some of my lady friends.

Hi, I'm a born Austinite, a nerd, and generally crafty person.
