What is your history with sewing?

I'm a beginning intermediate sewist who has taken some classes, worked with patterns, and a bit of pattern drafting.

Tell us about your sewing machine(s).

I have a brother - basic model with multiple stitches. This has been my machine for the past few years of learning.

When you make a mistake while sewing, what do you do?

I usual undo the mistake, if that can be done, and then I try again. If it cannot be undone - I try to salvage what I can and see if moving forward is still possible.

What's your favorite thing you've ever sewn? Can we see a picture?

My favorite thing is my favorite t-shirt. I self-drafted the pattern from an old shirt, and sewed it all up in one night. It's not perfect, but it's still my favorit shirt. It's in my profile photo.

If skill, time, and resources were no issue, what would you sew right now?

Sleveless dresses - a bunch of sleeveless dresses for the summer (I'm new to Austin). But in actuality, I think I would sew a very nice cocktail/formal dress made from a silk brocade with a fitted bodice with boning.

I'm a designer, maker and thinker. I love hand crafts and learning to make and mend things on my own.
