What is your history with sewing?

I was a competive ice skater back in the day of designing/sewing/beading your own costumes. Fast forward many years and I have three girls, so I smocked alot, then one became a ballerina, and I became wardrobe mistress for a regional ballet company..never ever had so much fun!

Tell us about your sewing machine(s).

Bernina 1230, Bernina 006d (??) Serger and last year, a Janome 350 embroidery machine that hasn't seen much use. Right now I am lusting after a coverstitch machine and that end of the year bonus is burning a hole in my pocket!!

When you make a mistake while sewing, what do you do?

Keep going, work around it, cuss, not necessarily in that order. I have given myself permission to toss something that jsut doesn't seem salvagable though--life's too short!

What's your favorite thing you've ever sewn? Can we see a picture?

If skill, time, and resources were no issue, what would you sew right now?

Introduction

I've been sewing since I can remember. I even did a stint making ballet tutu's! I have a degree in Clothing and Textiles and spend my week in Dallas working and my weekends in Austin with my husband.
