I have sewn since I was about 12 or 13 years old, but have only begun to improve my construction and fitting skills within the last 8-9 years.
I own a couple of Pfaff machines, a Babylock embroidery machine that makes great buttonholes, a serger, a coverstitch machine, and a Singer Featherweight that I have yet to lay hands on! Also a Babylock Jane, which is a tiger to sew with and a joy.
Grab my cadillac seam ripper, and remember that everyone makes mistakes. If I have been working too long, I stop and take a break, especially if it is wine-thirty P.M.
I am honestly trying to make that favorite thing, but a few of my projects are on my blog matchingnotches.blogspot.com, and on my PatternReview.com profile.
Pants, a duster/trench coat out of that custom printed black silk dupioni I've had for a while, and a rack full of vintage dresses.
I am a longtime sewist and enjoy being with others who share this same interest.
So glad we continue to meet people who are sewing clothing at home!
