As you know, the recent Sewing With Style Meetup in which we cut out and serged garments for Dress For Success produced quite a few unfinished garments. We weren't able to sew them that day, so we put each in a ziplock bag and these 'kits' have been dispersed to various members of the group who have volunteered to take one or more of these 'kits'. Also, we still have 2 'kits' left to be picked up to work on. The fabric is already cut out, all the edges are serged, and the remaining sewing is very basic. If you are interested in finishing one or two of these remaining kits, they are at The Common Thread fabric store. Some who have already taken kits have not yet returned the finished garment. I want you to know this is not a problem. I will be collecting the
finished garments from our drop-off points and taking them to Dress For Success in mid-July, after I return from an extended trip. When you finish them, they can be left at either The Common Thread or The Fabricker fabric store. Both store owners have graciously helped us on this project and are willing to be the drop-off points. Of course, once there, you'll want to check out their lovely fabric! Thanks to all who have helped out on this project. It will be fun to deliver the goods to Dress For Success in July! Any question, feel free to email me or call me at[masked]-1529.
