coverstitch serger and steam generating iron available

Hey seamsters,

my mom is in the process of pruning down the contents of her overstocked
sewing room. She just called to say she's parting with her EuroPro steam
generating iron (the one with the tank) - paid about $300, selling for $75
obo and then an Elna 5 thread serger with coverstitch capability. (forgot
her asking price, probably about $125 obo? but don't hold me to that....)

A few years back I would have exercised privileges of inheritance and
snagged these for myself, but I have no room for them right now and I'd
rather see them getting used than collecting dust at my place.

I've cc'd her on this post, so you can contact her directly if you want to
discuss the specifics. She's all about the latest and greatest equipment,
and takes really good care of her stuff. Also note that she doesn't check
email all that frequently, so here's her old school contact info - the
land line:

Joyce James - 713-729-6096

Yes, these items are in Houston. You'd either have to go get them, or wait
until my parents visit me or I visit them to do get the goods to Austin.

She's participating in a huge group Sewing Guild sale in two weeks at the
Humble Civic Center (that's a suburb north of Houston.) Those of you up
for a fabric hunting day trip might consider making the trek - she won't
be the only one purging her stock, so you might run across some cool
vintage finds for cheap.

happy steaming and serging!
