the pattern is mccalls 6744, view c, faux wrap dress. I read all the reviews (they all say this pattern runs very large on top, no fba needed) and decided to cut a size m. I think it's still too roomy in the bodice and shoulders. next time i'll cut a size small in bodice width and keep the medium for length. I added the neck bands, pattern calls for turning over 2x and top-stitching, a finish I don't really like on necklines. with the bands I could control the diagonal edges to prevent gaping. bodice fabric is an Italian rayon-lycra from emma one sock; skirt fabric is black bamboo-lycra from marcy tilton. (yes, i'm wearing jeans underneath in this photo. the skirt does drape more nicely over my lower half than this when the extra layer isn't there...)
Great dress - love the fabric choice and the contrast with the black neckline band!
