No, I don't consider "Safe," the latest Jason Statham action vehicle, an Asian film -- Asian moppet character notwithstanding. But this screening is free, it includes free popcorn and a cash-bar happy hour, and best of all, it's a chance to support a great cause: Variety Children's Charity of Northern California, which has served the region's disabled, critically ill and disadvantaged children since 1947.
To attend, please RSVP at Variety's Eventbrite page, selecting the RSVP description that fits you. Admission is free, but a donation of $5 to $10 is requested.
Seating is limited and not guaranteed. Variety members and their guests receive priority seating. Doors open at 6 p.m., with seating at 6:45 p.m. and screening at 7 p.m. Please arrive no later than 6:30 to be seated.

Synopsis: Luke Wright's (Statham) life goes topsy-turvy when he springs to the aid of a girl prodigy whose memory holds a code coveted by the Russian mob, the Triads and corrupt cops. Good thing he's an ex-MMA fighter and former cop, though, right?
