SF Bay Area Interactive Fiction Group Meetup

There are ten games competing for this year's annual Spring Thing IF awards. We'll probably play some of them at this week's meetup.

In addition, Gene (one of our regulars) has coded up a game outline for us to try in ChoiceScript. We're always happy to try out any work-in-progress people bring to the meetup, so we'll definitely try that, as well as anything else y'all bring to the meetup!

Finally, Choice of Games has just released a new game, NOLA Is Burning, a blood-soaked New Orleans noir thriller. We might try that, too.

My satire of Star Wars, Star Trek and Twilight is free on Amazon Sat 5/3 to Mon 5/5/14:

You don't need a Kindle to read it as you can read it in the cloud or download free software from Amazon to read Kindle books on desktops, tables, laptops, phones.

Reviews for my book on Amazon are greatly appreciated as they help an author learn and their work be noticed Feel free to share the link to my book and giveaway

Happy Star Wars Day: May the 4th be with you.

I'm one of the few who managed to buy Blood and Laurels when it was available. Any interest in my bringing it along? Is there a way to project from an iPad Air there?

Me, too! We played it at our March meetup on my iPad, but if there's interest, we could certainly try it again. (I use AirServer to allow iOS devices to share their screen with my Mac over AirPlay, then I plug the Mac into a screen projector over a VGA cable. It's a bit funky, but it works.)

Hi folks - I'm thinking about attending - but wanted to know if the focus of the group is entirely on IF text style project - or if it encompasses other types of interactive (transmedia) projects?

We tend to play computer games, just because they're easy to talk about, but we're pretty open minded about what we'll play.
