Yes. I have dabbled in drums (set), snare (drumline), upright bass, guitar, and piano. But most of my expertise lies in keyboards and more specifically, writing patches in analog and virtual analog keyboards (ie. microkorg, Roland Alpha Juno 1). As far as playing technique, I am intermediately. I focus mainly on combining a variety of authentic sounds to create new unique textures. My style does not rely heavily on complex riffs, but on creating lush soundscapes that reflect all of life's emotions.
Electronic music allows me to live with the notion that anything is possible. The creative outlet I have found in creating electronic music has improved my life greatly and allowed me to express a part of myself that words fail to do. I am hoping now, to improve my musicianship, sound design, mixing and mastering. But most of all, I am hoping to meet other like minded individuals who I can learn from and share great music.
Hey Guys, I am Steven Cheung and I have been DJing and producing music for about 6 years. I got started making electronic music in high school from being inspired by the sounds of the 70s and 80s. I simply love collecting and creating music.
