I'd love to participate, but I'm gone for much of August (13th-24th) :(
Friday/Saturday would be *great* though.  So many concerts take place
during the week, which makes it impossible to stay late!

Yep. You just emailed the entire group! :)

So, to bring everyone else up to speed: Eve and I have been bantering
about the idea
of seeing if we can do a DJ/electronic music night sometime before the
Fall. One
idea was that if we didn't have enough electronic musicians we could also
do DJ
stuff since there's a strong connection w/ the SFDG.

Venues that have been floated include the Hot Spot and Club 93. I think
that if we
try to book a club of some sort (besides the Hot Spot) we ought to at least
guarantee 75 people. After all, doing a specific event on a weekend should
generate
business for the venue.

Who would like to participate if we can pull something together? Do other
people
have ideas on venues? Is August too soon? Is a Fri/Sat the right day, or
should we
try for maybe a Wed or Thu?
