I am relatively new to working on a LAMP stack (running on Amazon EC2). I taught myself a lot of the ins and outs over the past year while developing an application that I have now fully developed in PHP. I have ran into some recurring storage and connection issues over the past few months. I have researched solutions at length on the mySQL forum and on the web, but none have them have really stuck. Up until now I have dealt with by reconfiguring a new EC2 instance on each occasion, which obviously isn't a real solution. I could greatly benefit from spending a few hours with an experienced DBA. If anyone is interested in helping me out, I am willing to pay them for their time.
