Introduction

I'm the Publisher at No Starch Press. I spend a ridiculous number of hours hacking android devices, just for fun.

  • Hi Bill!

Thanks for creating this group. The gas mask is a security feature. It's always flu-o'clock somewhere.

Things I'd like to make time to try:
    - set up a cyanogenmod build machine/cluster
    - learn more about pdroid and guardianproject
    - figure out how to host arduino/avr development on android

Right now, Android feels a little too much like a runtime environment for internet connected consumer devices. I'd like to make it more offline-hacker-developer-maker-friendly.

  • Hi, Bill, looking forward to your group. My plan is to get JellyBean 4.2 running on my soon-to-arrive 8.9" Fire HD. I'm sure others will want to do this. In fact, this is my suggestion for a 1st meet-up.
