This was a lot of fun - some good sights - a happy spending of a Sunday morning - hope to see you all again soon!

I apologize for missing the event today. I planned to change my response last night but then was distracted by other things. I hope it was a success and hope it is offered again..

Weather was adventurous but the birds were singing and flying and paddling. Saw snowy egrets, turkey vultures, purple finch, a hummingbird, robin, mallard, double-crested cormorant, wilson's warbler, a tern, and heard ominous thunder.

Thanks for posting this on Meetup Dave, it was great and I wouldn't have heard about it otherwise.

Thanks, I thought it was interesting too. Didn't get to say goodbye because when the rain started, I dashed out. Hope to talk with you at another event.

Dave, I was out sailing today with 30+ kt winds, probably with 35-40 kt gusts. With double reef the boat was still way overpowered. Never seen the Bay like that. I don't know how much it will blow tomorrow but I am sure I will mind it less on land than on water ;-) See you tomorrow.

Wow, that's some breeze. At the dock in Sausalito I recorded gusts to 33 m.p.h. and a lot of 25 - 30 m.p.h, on the beam at the dock!

I hope everyone was able to make their reservations for bird watching at[masked]-1540. If it's anywhere near as windy tomorrow as it is today in Sausailto, we'll be flying like birds if we spread our arms out. We have wind gusts to 33 m.p.h right now. It will likely be cool to cold. Wear layers and tie down your mittens!

I'd love to bring my friend - we will be stayig in the area - is it possible to RSVP with +1?

It's very likely to be fine. When you make your reservation at[masked], just tell them.

Just the right event to get me to see a part of the Bay Area I have never been to--Marin Headlands.
