TGIF tour of 2 Tall Ships in Sausalito!

The tall ships Lady Washington and Hawaiian Chieftain are docked at the Bay Model in Sausalito, and offer walk-on tours and actual sailings.  They are right outside my window and very cool!

Inspirational to any dreamers.

Lady Washington has appeared in several movies, including Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl.

Let's meet up for the walk-on tour at 4:00 p.m., and perhaps after that, optionally, head over to the Sausalito Cruising Club or Saylors, for a TGIF drink.

Complete info on the Tall Ships is here: http://historicalseaport.org/2013/02/sausalitos-bay-model-to-host-tall-ships/

The walk-in tour is a $3 donation recommended.

Plenty of free parking.  Optional casual meet-and-greet between 3:30 and 4:00 p.m. before the tour at the waterfront picnic tables.

The tall ships were very interesting and complicated. Lady Washington has the biggest tiller I've ever seen! The crews were very informative and helpful. Thanks Dave, for the whole afternoon.

The coolest thing about this was seeing the crew members of these really special ships giving up their jobs to live their dreams. That is what life is really about, and the crewmembers I spoke with were truly an inspiration, living outside the box, living their dreams. Priceless.

Great fun, and even more fun at dinner afterwards at Saylors!
