This place is seriously gorgeous and we had a blast there last time.

Alamere Falls is a little known California landmark, and this is an excellent hike along the California Coast Trail starting from the Palomarin trailhead near Bolinas. It is incredibly pretty with amazing ocean views and lush vegetation.

This is an 8+ mile easy to moderate hike, w/ little elevation gain and  a somewhat challenging scramble down to the beach (Two of us always help everyone get through the scramble).

This is a combined event w/ other Meetup Grps and a good opportunity to make new friends.

What to bring:

Vino! and cups

Good Hiking Boots/shoes

Layered clothing, sunscreen, hat

Snacks/vino

Lunch  and food to share (dried fruit/nuts, chips, dips, cookies, use your imagination - hopefully not too much sugar.)

At least 1 liter of water (2 is better)

Anything else you want to drink (wine, beer, tea, juice, etc.)

Sunscreen and a hat.

$5 activity fee

Your sense of humour is an absolute must!

Directions to trailhead:

GPS [masked],[masked]

Take Hwy #101 to San Rafael, and take the Sir Francis Drake Blvd. exit. Drive west 20 miles to Olema, then drive south on Hwy #1 for 9.1 miles to Bolinas Rd. (unsigned). Turn right and drive 1.8 miles to Mesa Rd. Turn right and drive 4.7 miles to parking lot and Palomarin trailhead.

Game Plan:

Beautiful hike through forest, ferns, coastal views, past Pelican Lake, then lunch on the beach next to the falls!    Plan on spending the day.

For those who want, we can go grab a beer and some tacos afterwards.

Sounds amazing! Anyone driving from SF and can give me a lift? Happy to pay towards fuel costs. Thanks Sarah

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
