Open House Sailing School Invitational (East Bay)

Open House 12-6pm - Facility and Boat tours, free sails 12, 2 and 4pm + BBQ.

Boat Tours:

Meet Antara - Don Russell's 42' Westsail a fully set up boat ready to go cruising this fall. Antara is the boat we teach Heavy Weather Strategies, offshore sea legs and Advanced Coastal courses on now. Will be sailing with her mid June, end of July and one more offshore adventure before she sails south in fall. She is planning on taking a few lucky Afterguard sailors on some of the passages for fun and learning as she makes her way on a multi-year cruise. Don has been getting himself and this lovely boat readied since 2006.

Meet Avion - Tom Abbott's 41' Bianca. Tom and crew are actively practicing now for the Pacific Cup in 2014. This unique sailing vessel is the only boat I've sailed that sails her own apparent till sailing nearly directly into the wind.

Meet Oli Kai - Eduardo Camps-Romero's Seawind 1000 that normally takes folks out for 3 hr charter sails out of Treasure Island ending with an hour wine-tasting with SF Winery.

Meet Sea Scout fleet boats - Nick Tarlson and board are working with Afterguard youth and adults to help restore and make available a fun group of boats.

Get the inside scoop on getting aboard to see this summer's America's Cup events from water on-board one of our boats.

Want to Sail with us? - by reservation select 12, 2 or 4pm. When you Sign up please email your preferred time to sail. This option has 3 sail times with a max number per 90 min sail. We can take out more than one boat but only with notice.

BBQ - edible goodies will be coming off the Barbi following each sail.

If you were among those that many did not find us or found us too busy at the Strictly Sail Pacific,  our annual spring open-house provides a relaxed fun day to stop in and say hi.

The $5 cost has two purposes - 1. help ensure those who sign up do attend. Helps to know how many boats need be ready to sail plus contributes to food $ 2. Any +$ proceeds will help fund Afterguard Foundation's HS youth program end of school year events. Note: Can call or stop in to pay off-line the $5 contribution to reserve your spot for sail and BBQ.

Hope you make it down to the waterside Saturday May 18th.
