Battle on the Bay - Watch from aboard Schooner Freda B

On Sunday, March 9 there will be a Battle on the Bay, real gun powder... real cannons, between the "Lady Washington" and the "Hawaiian Chieftain" from Washington State.

This will be to watch those 2 ships battle it out from a 3rd ship, the Freda B.  People on this ship will not be on the ships battling it out, which is the other event Norm is hosting.   Freda is a very comfortable, fun boat, which offers a very nice "solid" ride.

The Golden Gate Tall Ships Society www.ggtss.org has chartered the beautiful schooner "Freda B" for members and guests to watch the battle, from a safe distance. A wonderful opportunity to see both ships in action and make your own decision about the "winner' for the day. Fantastic and unique photo op here!

*Do not forget to bring your camera!*! And while you are at it, some friends! Cost remains the same as last year, GGTSS Members $65, Guests of Members $75 and others $85.

Don't miss out! Make your reservations online at

www.ggtss.org

through the Ship's Store... simply click there to visit and make your reservations. We use PayPal® to process our transactions so you can use a PayPal® account if you have one or your credit card if you prefer that method.

Boarding will be in Sausalito at slip 907 not far from Cafe Roma on Bridgeway towards downtown. Park behind these locations in Lot #4 off Johnson Street (put 3.5-4 hours on the parking meter, about $4.00) and walk about two blocks south down the dock.

Boarding time will be at 2:00 PM for a 2:15 PM departure. We'll follow the ships to their battle area. Return will be at 5:00 PM (and it will still be light!) There will be a cash bar for soft and alcoholic drinks - please do not bring your own. Snacks will be provided, but you may bring food.
