Free Sailing - Gas House Cove Marina/Fort Mason

(Event posted on Joe Schmidt's behalf)

THE WIND IS FREE AND SO IS SAILING ON MY J/24 SAILBOAT!  Come enjoy the beauty of sailing and the spectacular scenery.

I’m looking for up to 3 crew to join me sailing this Monday April 14th, prior to dropping my boat off at SF Boat Works in Mission Bay ~3pm. I will arrange for a taxi to take all of us back to Fort Mason.

You should have a waterproof jacket, pants and boots to stay warm and dry. I have extra life jackets if needed. Physical agility is a must, and prior sailing experience and an understanding of how a sailboat works will be helpful. My black lab will be joining us on the sail. Please bring your own lunch and a snack to share.

Please update your RSVP as soon as possible if your schedule changes and please do not cancel within 48 hours of the sail, but if it’s unavoidable contact me directly at [masked]. When you RSVP please answer the Question and provide your email address so I can email a waiver release form that all crew are required to sign a couple days prior to the sail.

Meet at the park benches in front of Gate 8 of Gas House Cove Marina at 10:00 AM. Free parking is available in the lots west of the marina.

I'm sorry, but I can't make the earlier time. Thanks so much for hosting, though!

Doh! I didn't look carefully. I thought this was for Saturday at 11:00 AM - which I'm excited to attend. Sorry for any confusion I caused.

I would like to change the time to meeting at 10 AM since the SF Boat Works would like the boat delivered as early as possible. Thank you!
