Cetacea, a beautiful, well-equipped, world-class pilothouse Cutter will host a SteamPunk costume sail on Sunday, July 13. Sail in costume, or change at Angel Island. I've attached photos of a dress rehearsal on June 29.
Any retro-futuristic Victorian-age costume, such as airship, locomotive, engineer's costumes, sea creature, Sci-Fi, or similarly creative costumes and gowns, are most appropriate. The Captain will join as a deep-sea hardhat diving engineer, as shown, and enforce the no-bikini policy <haha>.
I'll provide the sandwiches, chocolates, celebrated "fine prize wine"/champaign, and you are welcome to contribute snacks, if you desire. Yes, we will sail the infamous Slot when thrown off the island for committing mayhem <haha>!
Space is limited and I encourage you to send a description of your proposed costume to assist in selecting the most costume-compatible crew from the wait list. I'll advise confirmed crew by July 7, and you are welcome to suggest an accompanying costumed friend if they have an especially cool costume.
We will, most definitely, summarily dispatch and toss overboard anyone not wearing an appropriate costume, no doubt based upon our well-established reputation, as evidenced below!
