Summer Sailstice Holiday

It's a sailing party, and quite the big one. Lotsa fun.

Celebrate the eighth annual Summer Sailstice with a full weekend of sailing, cruising, racing, windsurfing and onshore entertainment in Clipper Cove and Treasure Island.

Meetup has arranged a really cool sailing opportunity for up to 20 people to meet in Sausalito and sail over and back on Lucrezia with Capt. Bradley for a special price of only $25, which is a fantastic discount for this special event. Come on out and sail the ship! Please note that you must sign up to sail over on Lucrezia at http://www.captainbra... If you don't sail over on Lucrezia, you can still meet the group after we dock at Treasure Island, probably around 12:30 or 1:00pm. Or call or text me at [masked] if you want to meet up at the event and can't find Lucrezia or the group, which I'm sure will wander off in several directions at least.

More information on the Summer Sailstice is at http://www.summersail... . Bring your friends, everyone will enjoy this. You don't have to be a member of this group, anyone interested in sailing can come along. All you need is a desire to party and sail and celebrate the longest day of the year.

I'll see you on the Lucrezia!

Remember, to sail over on her, you have to sign up and pay in advance on Captain Bradleys web site. The paid-list is being finalized now. Even if you don't sail over with the group, you can still meetup with the group on Treasure Island.

For those that aren't sailing over, the location of the Summer Sailstice is:
Clipper Cove
Treasure Island Yacht Club
66 Clipper Cove Way
San Francisco, CA 94130

I'm going to be taking a boat out of Afterguard Sailing Academy in Oakland on a charter share and would love to have more people on board to share costs. Does anyone still need a ride? The boat size will depend on # of people - 22ft up to 34ft. And I'm an instructor if people want to learn a few basics.

Great day to get out sailing, listen to live music both on and off the boat (what a nice rare treat), dance under the tent, and get splashed with cold Bay water. What a fine way to celebrate!

Wow! Could it have been any better? We had it all. A full day of sailing on a the Lucretia - and this boat was meant for sailing. It handled the waves really well. The company was great...the guitar playing and singing on board was a nice touch. And even more music on shore. Loved it. Capt. Brad is a trip...When can we do it again? Best meetup experience I have had so far.

Somehow I missed everyone. I waited until 2:30 or so, went on a couple of the free sails, ate some food, and then had to hit the road. It was still a nice time, but would have liked to have met all you folks on the boat. Guess it'll have to be another time.

The crew was couragous, brave and true. There were hardships, and pain, and suffering and great reward. A few of them said they really liked the pain part. I never though they would be able to take the stress but they held out to the bitter end. The end of the coctails that is of course and the last of the mohitos. Drink up me harties ho ho!

I had a great time. The sailing was awesome. The weather amazing. The people were fun. The captain was good, safe and knowledgable. I'd definitely go again?

While I had been on boats before (in Europe and Greece), this was my first sailing experience here in the San Francisco Bay and it was absolutely fantastic! Captain Bradley is an amazingly calm and experienced sailor who knows what he's doing, always had the boat under control and made everyone feel at ease. I am certainly signing up for the next sailing experience and can only highly recommend it to anyone else, experienced or just starting out.
