FREE - China Camp Raft UP, Rally, and Pot Luck BBQ, OCT 20 Saturday - FREE

Season final - Raft Up, Rally and Pot Luck BBQ - OCT 20.
This event is FREE.

At this point we have: (click boat to see photos)

(More to be added as skippers confirm)

Note: Members/sailors - Please contact your favorite boat/owner
using the Boat Owners page and urge them to participate ;)

The Plan:
We will board each boat at the respective harbor and then meet at china camp around 11:00 and hang out for about an hour. Then have a short rally to the petaluma entrance and back, followed by raft up and Pot Luck BBQ.

This would be a Hook to Hook rally.. you start on the hook, and finish on the hook. All boats will start anchored on a line, sails down. You must raise the anchor and set sail to the nearest petaluma entrance marker, and sail back to china camp. It should take about an hour and a half to complete. You must drop anchor near the start line to finish the race. (Motor boats can escort the race or act as committee.)

I would really like to invite ALL boats in the group and please forward this notice to other boat owners as well. All are welcome. Sail and power :)  (PS not obligated to sail to the petaluma marker) Just raft is fine too.

This will be OCTOBER 20 (Saturday).

Thanks!!

Hi Tricia. I can skipper your boat for you if you're still looking to rent tomorrow! I have the bareboat certification so depending on group size, a boat of 27'-42' ideally?

Anyone interested in renting a boat to join the group at China Camp?
We will also need someone who can sail the boat.

I'm on the list since almost the initial post. Any room for me? I notice boats are getting full.

Folks, the two people that I had joining us via email cannot make it. My wife and I can take two from Vallejo so email me. I have to attend a meeting tonight until late and will return emails in the morning. Sorry, we will not join in the sailboat race due to our unfair advantage... we are a power boat. We plan to drop the hook, hang out (do a little fishing) and meet all of you. If I could get a ride on a sailboat - that would be great.

Hey Guys. This sounds like a fun Meetup. Is there any available space on the Revive from San Rafael?

Hi all, I am an experienced sailor (have a small boat that I sail alone in the bay) and need to find a boat to join.
I am located in Alameda and please let me know if you have an opening on your boat.

Hi all! I RSVP'd to this event but I am new to the group and to the Bay Area so I don't have a boat nor do I know how to sail. I'm not sure if this is an appropriate event for someone with my skill (or non- skill) level, but it sounds like a lot of fun. ;-) Please let me know if it is okay for me to participate in some way. If not, I will look forward to meeting you all at the next event. Thanks all!!!

Hi Audra; You should just go for it. You'll learn a lot about sailing if you actually get on a boat. If not, the people in this group are pretty much ok.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
