A Countryside Ride

  • This location is shown only to members

We'll be riding along this road!

    The Game Plan:

We'll head out to the west and take in some of the great Sonoma County scenery there. We'll stop at a winery for a complimentary tasting, and have lunch (bring your own), then come back to Santa Rosa via the Santa Rosa Creek Trail (paved), where we're likely to see Egrets, Ducks, Squirrels,  Vineyards, and more!

This ride will be about 20 miles, is mostly flat w/ one rolling hill, and is considered easy to moderate, depending on your condition.

    What To Bring:

    Snacks, water, and a lunch.

Wear: Sunscreen, layered clothing, your helmet.

I pack a few fruit bars and a sandwich for lunch.

    $5 Fun Fee

Fill your tires the day/eve before.
Have your bike tuned and in good shape.

A repair kit (optional, though always suggested - at least a spare tube is highly recommended). I'll have a pump.

As always, your sense of humour is required!

This ride will be limited to 20 riders and is posted on several other Meetup sites, so it will be an opportunity to meet new people.

I'm sorry, I suppose this is obvious to the author... but this seems like a bicycle ride, not a hay ride, nor a motorcycle ride. Oh, and we should bring a bike, not a boat, nor an airplane (all also ride-able). Have I got it?

Would be helpful in the title to say something about "bicycle."

My own grp knows this, Keith. Good point though. Are you a cyclist?

This looks like an awesome ride to do- so beautiful out there. Sadly, I am working Sat. and ca't make it. Hope you will lead other future rides in the area.

Good point, Keith. Since my own grp knows it's either a hike or a (bicycle) ride, I don't specify. Are you a cyclist?
