Seasteading enthusiasts, visionaries and doers,
We just had a wonderful December meetup yesterday with great networking, nice presentation and an interesting Q&A session. Please check the pictures and leave your feedback at:
The video recording of the meeting has been uploaded to Youtube, featuring participant introductions, Aquaculture presentation and Q&A:

The big announcement is that we have formed a medical tourism work group. Comprised of 5 people, it will focus their efforts on creating the first working "medstead", providing high quality affordable medical service through the innovative "seasteading" approach. The initiative is both noble and very timely, so please help with practical advice, innovative ideas and anything else that will make this a reality.
Those interested in joining the work group or checking its progress, please login (or register for free) at:
Just to clarify - this is a result-oriented project, where goals get delegated, deadlines set and results achieved. If you'd like to debate/brainstorm/discuss, please head over to the forums at http;//seasteading.org
Also, we'd like to remind about Uportal iFocus - a result-oriented community participation system that will allow anybody to join and/or create various seasteading projects/goals and achieve tangible results in their area of expertise/interest (see the video above for a short intro).
Please sign up and join the effort (quick and free signup):
Check the detailed screencasts for the overview of the available functionality:
iFocus community participation framework was donated, setup and is being hosted/maintained by WebServiceCenter Group (http://webservicecenter.net), that pioneers the Affordable Custom Software industry and specifically, integrated innovative web applications.
On behalf of the organization team, I'd like to thank the Seasteading institute for their help and support organizing the meetup, Mike Doty for his presentation and securing the venue, managing the technical setup, etc
We'd like to keep having Seasteading meetups every month and have started planning the January meeting.
Some of the ideas for the future meetups are:
1) Alternate the venue between San Francisco, South Bay and East Bay
2) Try new meeting formats (discussion panels, investment application training,
Your ideas/comments on the above (locations, topics, projects and activities) would be highly appreciated.
