New Meetup: Watch Seasteading on The Discovery Channel

From: Patri F.
Sent on: Sunday, June 7, 2009 3:06 PM
Announcing a new Meetup for Bay Area Seasteading Socials!

What: Watch Seasteading on The Discovery Channel

When: June 8,[masked]:00 PM

Where: Click the link below to find out!

Meetup Description: Patri was interviewed about seasteading for a Discovery Channel television show which is about to premiere. We are not the main focus of the episode, so we have no idea how much footage they will use, probably just a few minutes, but it will be fun to see us on television! (Unfortunately none of the clubstead animations/models or design contest winners were done in time for this show's production process. Next time...)

Here is the show description

Mega Engineering, City at Sea, TV-PG, June 8th, 10PM & 1AM EST/PST.

New Orleans is under siege. The old defenses - levees and canals - can't be counted on any longer. But some engineers are saying the way to save New Orleans is to build a floating city: a new New Orleans, buoyed up by the water, not drowning under it.
