So, this hike is mainly to watch the Fleet week air show [including America's cup sailing race and the blue angels show], from one of the best spots to watch it from...our usual 'Slacker hill' :)
The entire airshow is from 12:30pm to 4pm with America's cup sailing from 1:50pm - 2:30pm and finally the blue angels performing from 3pm-4pm.
Here is the schedule
So you are welcome to join us at the top later if you like....we'll be at the slacker hill for that whole time, eating and drinking :)
This will be about 6 mile round-trip hike [about half a mile is steep to the top of slacker hill].
We'll start at the Rodeo beach parking lot. Then get to slacker hill around 12:30pm. Then hangout there till the end [about 4pm] and then hike back.
Since we'll be there for a while, feel free to bring wine/snacks/food to share. Also bring anything to keep you warm and cozy..may be a blanket/pillow etc..etc..
We'll meet at the Rodeo beach parking lot at 11:15am and may be start walking around 11:30 or so.
It's a big parking lot. So we can meet near the garbage/recycle bins located across the road from the parking lot.
Here's the google streetview showing the garbage/recycle bins
From SF, cross the Golden Gate Bridge and exit at Alexander (the first exit past the view point turnoff). Keep right at the first fork.
After about 0.3 mile, turn left onto Bunker Road [watch for the brown park signs.
There is a one-way tunnel which cuts under 101, and you may need to wait up to 5 minutes for your turn to travel through it.
From the other side of the tunnel, drive to the end of the road and the Rodeo beach parking lot is on the right.

[ok, what's marked as 'dinner spot' on the map is the slacker hill...it's not really 'dinner' but just used the full moon hike map :)]
Dogs are NOT allowed on part of this trail
See u soon! :)
Disclaimer: Its your own responsibility to look after yourself on the hike if u decide to join us. You assume all the risks including sharing my lunch ;)
Note: As usual, due to Meetup site removing the 'maybe' option, if you are not sure, just rsvp as yes and indicate 'maybe' in your comments. Does not matter if you sign up as yes and not show up or if you don't sign up and just show up :)
