Latent Argentina, directed by Fernando E.Solanas.
Solanas documents how his country, although unknown to most, is rich in natural resources and intellectual capital, but has been pillaged by multinationals and trapped in a state of underdevelopment. Solanas recognizes that most Argentineans don?t know that they are the owners of an enormous innate wealth and calls this ?mental colonialism?. He dedicates his film to make an impassioned call to the country?s youth to recover the ?latent Argentina.?
This film screens on May 7 at 4:00PM at the Sundance Kabuki Cinemas.
