Moar 18xx Saturday

Ok this Saturday is looking good again for more train game madness.  1853 was fun last week, that would be a great candidate.  Also 1817 if we can get a copy, perhaps to prep for playing it at Kubla.

For the uninitiated, these train themed games are devilishly complicated and difficult, extremely fiddly with opaque strategies, so be warned.  :)

D'oh! Last minute obligation popped up. My witty comments have been all for nothing. Sorry for last minute cancel, but it looks like you've still got enough for a game.

My vote is either for 1817 (refresher would be great), but as a copy will not be forthcoming most likely I think 1853 would be fun as it would be nice to not have to learn a new variation and actually explore the depth in one of the games.

Psh, depth. But then you all might start learning and I'll start losing! And *then* where will I be?? :'(

Oh right - at a table full of excellent players. Ok gogo gadget '53!

Eric, if I beat you at '53, I'll buy you a can of Coors Light to make you feel better.

I would relish the sheer and utter insanity and chaos which is 1841.

My vote is for 1853. With 20% of the vote in, 1817 is currently lagging behind the leader by 20 points.
