Somehow we started at Mel's and ended at Max's. Fruitful presentation and discussion after.

Regret due 2 a sudden... transit-related matter, I've been unable 2 arrive in time

    April 10, 2013

  • Teresa

Update: Hi, am still in transit, (driving from Marin, thru rush hour traffic), and unsure when I'd arrive at Mel's. Hoping to see you there, at the event, or perhaps, afterward! Enjoy the show, 'til later! Thanks!

    April 10, 2013

  • Renee

Ok, I'm retreating, my Craiglist search for tickets was fruitless. Since you're all neuroscience lovers, I thought you might enjoy this peek into our work at ElMindA in this field. This video is from our presentation to Obama during his visit to Israel: http://www.elminda.com/elminda-brain-mapping-technology-one-of-six-innovations-presented-to-president-obama-during-visit-to-israel/

I'm pretty new to this group, so hope to see you all at an event soon!

    April 9, 2013

    • tom m.

Well, this is a shame given your involvement, though here you are in the Bay Area not Israel. If you don't live far away from Herbst theater you might gamble and come down in the hopes of finding a ticket near the box office from someone who purchased a second ticket online for a spouse and that person couldn't come. What makes these tix difficult to secure is the dual nature of the program, sponsored both by the Academy of Sciences and City Arts & Lectures. Also, you've been a member since the end of December. Such a shame you didn't see the listing when I first put it up. Belonging to 29 meetups must cause programs to slip between the cracks....

      April 9, 2013

    • Renee

Actually, working like a maniac is why my social life has been slipping through the cracks. Ha. I live an hour south, so not sure I'm going to roll the dice. Wow, I've been a member that long? Time flies!

      April 10, 2013

  • Leanne

Sort of late, but does someone have an extra ticket that has mysteriously or otherwise become available?

    April 8, 2013

    • tom m.

These questions are getting very tiresome. They go to each member. NO, no one has a ticket. It has been sold out for months. If someone did have an extra ticket they would contact someone who requested a ticket weeks ago.

      April 8, 2013

    • Leanne

Tom, I got a ticket and I'm looking forward to meeting the brainiacs! Please add me to the pre-event!

Hi Tom, I'm "confirmed" but not clear if I have a ticket reserved through this meet up or need to find one. I'm in for Mel's before and after.

    April 5, 2013

    • tom m.

I thought it was clear especially to a group of 'Brainiacs' The link for tix is given at the bottom of the listing which I uploaded a month ago knowing it would sell out. Those who really wanted to go made sure they secured a ticket before this happened. Some here had an extra ticket, but those are probably long gone.

No, Randi, there are still some tickets in the balcony. We will meet afterward to chat about the conversation on stage.

    January 21, 2013

    • Randi

Hi Tom, It looked to me that those balcony seats were reserved for wheelchair and attendants. Anyway, I got a seat in the orchestra. Looking forward to meeting up with all of you there.

      January 22, 2013

    • tom m.

There were 4 left in the orchestra and some 80 in the balcony, not for wheel chair bound people

Looks interesting! Will try and attend. I've been researching technologies (built with the Dept. of Neuroscience) already in use and being Tested. A lot of projects and research is funded by DoD and our Military Intelligence Communities. Also the Dept. of Energy.
