Hi,
I just adopted a 2 year old bully whose allergic to beef and wheat (well, that's all they told me). A week and a half ago we fed got him a pork/chicken ear because we thought it would be safe. So....as you guessed, he got an allergic reaction. And now, he has (from what we believe) a hot spot on his back. What's the best way to treat hot spots? I did a lot of research online and it said to cut the hair off around the infected area..and a lady at Critter Crawlers in Pacifica told us to put Witch Hazel on it. AND! After we put that stuff on today, we noticed little bumps under his hair, could they be hives? Thanks everyone for reading.... |

We always use betadine or iodine solution. Just mix with a little water and apply for a couple of day. It drys clean and heals quickly. Good luck.
