Re: [engbulldog-3] Question about acclimating our english bulldog to a new baby

Our bulldog who was 4 years old at the time was very interesting around our Grandbaby when it was new born and would come over...when the baby would cry, our Bulldog started humping my daughter's leg...or who ever was holding the baby, and he became very anxious ONLY when the baby cried...but all the rest of the time...never a problem. It was almost as if he thought it was a pup of his own and he wanted to take care of it and tried to try anything he could ( even humping our legs ) he would also follow us ( almost run after us) if we were moving around while my Granddaughter was crying. As soon as she would stop crying when Mommy would nurse her , he would gently sniff her...very sweet. This was our experience.
