My 1 1/2 Bully just had Elongated Soft Palate Surgery, I see huge improvements immediately, However he seems depressed and not him self at all the third day after surgery. I did not give him a sedative this evening, as the doctor as suggested if he gets rowdy. However, he is not him self tonight and seems extremely depressed. Is this normal? He is still eating and drinking ok.

Give him some time. Bulldogs take quite awhile (several days) to get back 100% from anesthesia. It's possible he's still uncomfortable, you may consider something like rimadyl for short term pain relief.
