SF Chihuahua Meetup...SATURDAY July 3rd. SWAP MEET!

  • Jul 3, 2010 · 12:00 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

PLEASE NOTE...The San Francisco Chihuahua Meetup will be help on the first SATURDAY in the months of July & August! The Stern Grove Summer Concert Series is held on Sundays and so we meet on SATURDAYS for the next two months. Let's have a SWAP MEET! What's that?!! Bring your new and lightly used dog related items out to the dog park...leashes, collars, kennels, carriers, toys, dog beds, food, treats, books, magazines. What's old to you is new to someone else...what doesn't fit your pup will fit someone else's dog! And check out what others have brought. You are sure to find something you want. Bring a little...Take a little. No money is exchanged. Its lots of fun and what is let over will be donated. Fingers crossed that we have some REAL summer weather...No fog, no fog, no fog! We will provide nice cool lemonade and snacks! We will have wonderful dogs available for adoption and we will take time out to meet all of these little dogs. Hopefully, someone will fall in love with a homeless pup or two! A Leg Up Rescue and Grateful Dogs Rescue will be there with amazing little dogs! DIRECTIONS The entrance to the dog park is located off of Sloat Boulevard just west of 19th Avenue. Drive west on Sloat and turn right on Vale. Drive one block and cross Crestview where you will see the gate to the dog park. Drive down the steep hill and voila, there is the large parking lot. Use Google or Yahoo Maps for the best directions! It is not always easy to find if you are new to the group...so print up directions.

We didn't make it to the meetup as planned. One of my chihuhuas was hit by a car in a horrible accident. Jake loved the meetups they helped him enormously. RIP my jakey we miss you

Hi Coco...the meetup runs until about 2pm. If weather is good, people do hang around longer. If its not, most are gone by 2pm. So hope to see you at the dog park on Saturday the 3rd.

How late does the group usually stay at the park? We'll be at the Jazz festival so we may wanna stop by to finally meet some of you.

I am happy to announce that one of our members, Tammy Letite, who has been a veterinary technician for over 20 years will be available to clip your dogs nails! And even do anal gland expression. The cost will be just $10.00. So if you need this service, look for Tammy at the July 3rd SF Chihuahua Meetup!
