Motion: This house approves of President Obama's job performance

  • October 1, 2013 · 7:00 PM
  • Commonwealth Club - Boardroom

President Obama has been President for over 4 1/2 years.  How do you feel about his job performance?  On October 1 you will have a chance to express your view of the US President and the job he is doing.

To encourage your thoughts about President Obama, here are some topics associated with his presidency:  health care reform; economic policy (e.g., stimulus package, TARP, government bailouts, sequester, government debt); gun control, foreign policy (e.g., Middle East, Russia); defense/security (e.g., Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, drones, NSA, Guantanamo Bay), civil rights, immigration, education, and leadership (e.g., ability to lead, communicate with public and across party lines, compromise when necessary, get things done).

Join us at the next SFDebate to explore and debate this Motion. We already have speakers for and against the Motion, plus a moderator. Note that there is a $5 fee charged by the Commonwealth club for non-members to the club.
