Hi Micheal, I was just checking to see if the Android DevCamp is still on for this coming Friday. The meetup board for the event is eerily silent. Has it been postponed? I am paralyzed about whether to make travel plans or not.
Hi Michael, I wanted to invite you and your group to a recruiting and networking event at macys.com. Here is a link to the RSVP: http://linkd.in/Af5GdO![]()

Michael, hello. My name is Michelle DeChene, AOL Technologies Recruiter. I’m located in Palo Alto. Could AOL host or co-sponsor an upcoming Meetup? We could also provide an AOL Guest Speaker for an Event, if needed. Would you be interested in a tour of the new AOL Building in Palo Alto? We just opened a new Auditorium on the First Floor a few days ago. You can reach me via mobile at [masked] or email at [masked].
I look forward to connecting.
Michelle DeChene
Although... If you do choose to associate yourself with the GC at these meetings, you will have to work that much harder to prove your credibility. Not fair, but it's the way it is.
Yeah, they'd better watch out. LOL
You know, I've come to expect that sort of behavior at academic conferences. Researchers' careers are often built on showing the "other guy" to be an ignorant a-hole (one of the big reasons I left). Seemed no use for that kind of attitude here. Reilly seemed like one of those guys who just wants to hear himself talk (or write, in this case); I've known plenty of them.
Wow! Those guys (the commenters for the HTML5 Meetup) were brutal. There may have been some useful advice (though much of it was petty), but they need to learn how to give constructive criticism with a little tact.
