I live in San Francisco and believe in the power of our communities to improve our lives. I think education is a key component to that and I think technology can and should be an important part of any strategy to change our world.
Technology has already changed our lives and is currently changing education. Those changes can be for the better, but we have to work together to make sure. I am currently experimenting with different forms of education technology, including using social media and various online materials in my classes. I would like to figure out better ways to take advantage of the smart phones that a majority of my students have in their hands every day to improve learning.
I have taught math at City College of San Francisco since 2002. In that time, I've focused on preparing students for college-level math and helping them complete their math requirements for their degrees, certificates and for transfer.
