I’m currently working to build the developer community for this nonprofit education technology project and would love to see folks from the Ed-Tech Meetup community participate! Please help me spread the word to interested educators and entrepreneurs.

The Shared Learning Collaborative (SLC) provides a secure data store and open source API to enable easier application development in K-12 education. There will be a free SLC Camp and EdTech Codeathon the weekend of January 12-13 at the Computer History Museum in Mountain View (Silicon Valley). During the codeathon, developers and teachers will work together to create education applications on the SLC technology. The teams presenting the two best SLC application prototypes will each win bounties of $2,000.

Who should attend? Teachers, application developers, entrepreneurs, administrators, education innovators, and anyone who wants to improve education through technology innovation. Space is limited so I encourage those interested to register ASAP at slccampbayarea-community.eventbrite.com.

You are welcome to forward this information and the contact info below to others who may want to participate.

With thanks,
bj
