Updates : 2 May 2012 :Community Music Time on 29 April

Last Sunday, SFEFC was spotted by PA at CLAP! @ Teck Ghee and invited to put up Roving Performances at their PAssionArts Closing Event on Sunday 8 April 2012 at Punggol Waterway from 4 to 10pm. It drew a crowd of about 100,000. It will be a unique roving performance with a mobile PA system and on the ground interaction with the crowd. This will be a 2½ hour non-stop performance slot from 6.30pm to 9.00pm with 50 Elvis’ songs, delivered by 5 singers.
Apparently, SFEFC will again be the pioneer singing group in PAssionArts Event – Community Music Time after C3A’s Active Ageing Carnivals in 2007.

SFEFC celebrates Elvis 76th Anniversary this year by entertaining 130 old folks & staffs and reaching out to them@ the Saint Theresa's Home on Saturday 8th Jan 2011.

Below are the pictures of the event:-

Pic on top left shows Helena presenting the event followed by her & Daniel's interaction with the folks accompanied by Brian the Welfare Officer. Among them we met Elvis fans too.

Above top left pic : Daniel gives his soulful rendition of "He Touched Me" which touches the audience, too.

On 26th June 2007 the SFEFC's name is the 4th in the world to etch in the Fans Forever Memorial Wall at Elvis Presley's birthplace,Tupelo.
Fans Forever Memorial Wall could become one of the world's most greatest tribute to Elvis Presley if only the other fan club presidents, members and ardent fans would support it?

Joe Krein from Elvis 2001 interviews Dick Grob,Elvis'bodyguard:
Looking back on Elvis'legacy, how do you see his impact on the world today?
I think that no one was able to see what would happen with Elvis when he died. Many thought that he would fade from the scene in a few years. The financial wizards all thought he would be gone, but they were wrong. Elvis is stronger today then perhaps he ever was. As I said before Elvis was special, there has never been anyone like him and never will be. He was a humanitarian,he worshipped God and believed in God. Elvis believed in the human race as no one ever has. His music was sung for pleasure. He did not preach through his music, he did not advocate using drugs in his music, he did not sing about killing your fellow man in his music. Elvis sang for the pure pleasure and beauty of singing. When he sang gospel he was talking straight to God and there is no one that can deny that fact. Elvis is greater now then he ever was. He never knew how great he really was when he was alive but as he looks over us now I am sure that he is pleased with what he did and the legacy he left us. Elvis supported his country and government. I know he would be supporting our troops now just as he did when he served. I am thankful that I had the pleasure of knowing Elvis and being able to call him my friend.

"WHAT SORT OF A MAN IS ELVIS? His friends know him as a perfect gentleman who doesn't smoke, drink or cuss.
So much has been written about Elvis Presley- both good and bad - that the average music fan is apt to be completely confused as to what kind of a person he really is. In this section of the ELVIS PRESLEY ALBUM, we'd like to do a brief character study of Elvis based on our own knowledge of the lad and reports from people who have been close to him.We feel that, after reading these paragraphs, you will be a little better informed as to the actual truth.
To begin with, those harsh critics of Elvis who accuse him of being "degenerate," "alcoholic" or "on dope" are merely venturing opinions rather than stating facts. For, if they were at all interested in discovering the truth of the matter - and not bent on turning out sensational newspaper columns - they would quickly find out how unjust their criticisms are." .

"Don't criticize what you don't understand, son. You never walked in that man's shoes." -Elvis often used this adaptation of a well-known quotation.
