Teach Cooking to Each Other!

Would you like to learn and teach cooking together? Join our party!

People who can cook are priority on the RSVP list.

Since we are going to visit a private place, please signup only if you know Nasser or Nobu in person. We'll meet at Powell in front of Starbucks near the Bart entrance, then head to Daly City.

Can I meet you guys at Daly City Bart? Because I'm coming from the Sunset District I'm closer to Daly City than downtown.

I've discussed with Nasser, and we'll learn Arabic, Korean and Japanese cuisines.

For the Korean food, can you discuss together on this comment? Yunhee, Helena and Minji? Yunhee mentioned about ddeokbokki. Let us know how long does it take etc.

As for Japanese one, Keita, Mai, Aya and Yuki, let us know what you can teach. As Keita said, curry or stew using roux sounds good.

I think it should be easy to learn and get ingredients. Of course it'd be better if it's not too conflicting with other cuisines.

As Nasser mentioned this meetup is going to be series of meetups. Please teach us at the next meetup, Mandar, Joseph and Alex.

    Thanks!

Yunhee, that's fine to use special ingredients. Looking forward to learn it :)

Just wanna point something out, the title should be "Teach Cooking (to) Each Other!" to be grammatically correct.

I would like to join next one. Maybe I can prepare omelette, pasta or grilled steak, since paella can take a lot of time.

Good morning guys, this time we need only 3 chefs. We can't all cook together. About me I'm going to cook a main dish which contains rice+ shrimp+vegetable!! I also will prepare an Arabic dessert and coffee!! We need extra two chefs and please tell us about your dishes!! For the next meeting we will have new 3 chefs as well!!

This is a very good idea!

OK, Mandar said "Indian curries, Daal, Pav Bhaji (all are vegetarian)", and Alex suggested “caviar d’aubergine” (eggplant caviar).

I think, Nasser, you can choose two chefs. Google Image Search gives you some ideas about the meals. I know Yunhee is good since she cooked a turkey on Thanksgiving for us.

Guys, please drop a comment about what you'll cook... We should organize a little bit.

So far, I received two comments:

Mai - “I can make some Japanese foods because I've often cooked in Japan. But I might need some specific Japanese materials :(”
    Keita - Japanese Curry

    I can cook Dashimaki egg.

    • Yunhee

      I can make ddeokbokki.
