Presentation and reception hosted by Sierra Geothermal Power Corp. (TSXV: SRA)

As of late, the geothermal sector has garnered much attention due to a number of news drivers. We would like to explain why we think it is so attractive right now.

Gary R. Thompson, P.Geo, President & CEO, Director of Sierra Geothermal, is a professional geologist and entrepreneur with 24 years of experience in resource exploration, project management and business acumen, including exploration for precious and base metals, unconventional gas including shale gas and coal bed methane, oil sands and now geothermal power. In his position at Sierra Geothermal Power Corp., Mr. Thompson has been the lead on the selection and acquisition of the geothermal prospects held by SGP to date. Prior to joining SGP, he held positions with EnCana Corporation, CBM Solutions and NovaGold Resources. In 2001, Mr. Thompson founded Cayley Geothermal Corp. which was acquired by SGP in 2006. Mr. Thompson holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Geology from the University of British Columbia, is a Director and Vice Chair of CanGEA (The Canadian Geothermal Energy Association) and is an active member of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of BC (APEGBC) and the Association of Professional Engineers, Geologists and Geophysicists of Alberta (APEGGA).
