Bruce,

Those scenarios do exist.  Our Family Coalition in conjunction with Future Dads held a Egg and Sperm Mixer. I would recommend the OFC website.  Ourfamily.org

OFC offers workshops and seminars related to family creation.

No matter what avenue you chose, work with an experienced attorney.  The cost to protect you and your family is minor compared to the what if scenarios.

Let me know if you want to chat!

Best of luck.

My partner and I are wanting to have children in the next 2-3 years. I would totally consider donating sperm. Sometimes I wonder about a co-parenting situation or making some kind of agreement with couples involved, so all benefit. Helping each other achieve their parenting dreams in a mutually beneficial type of situation. Sometimes I also wonder how easy this might seem, but then again how complex it can get. My partner and I fear the cost of in-vitro, egg donor, lawyers, etc.. (especially when going to these Gay Dad's meetings where people share their experiences and set out $$ expectations.) I often wonder "why can't parents that want kids" come together in some sort of outlet to satisfy all parties parenting and child bearing somehow, if not is San Francisco then where, right? Perhaps there are groups of gay males and female couples here in the San Francisco Bay Area who have accomplished this? Yes of course, a legal document of some sort can be prepared for everyone's protection but I don't feel as if tens of thousands of dollars need to be spent to satisfy this. Sometimes we also think about seriously talking about this with a couple of our good friends who are in lesbian relationships and making it work somehow as well.

I know you may think i'm crazy, but i've thought about ways to make it financially less and overall an easier process: from finding a donor in another country, from having sex with the woman (if she would be inclined) to impregnate her possibly savings thousands of dollars, Even though I am gay, I don't think it's totally out of the question to Ideally it would be great to find a lesbian couple who would be interested in making a pact to somehow co-parent children together or make an arrangement to satisfy each others goals. That was quite candid, but if there's any outlet for my thoughts and wishes - i'm sure this place is one of the few. Apologies if I offend anyone for that is not my intent.

Thanks for listening,

Bruce

I would like to talk about the possibility of sperm donation of unknown going to professionals would like to be part of the child's life. I'm willing to contribute a thousand dollars per month for child support and had limited hi visitation for special events. I don't know if this is even possible because my child support payments would be much higher normally.

Hi Guys,

I know two women who want to start a family in the next year. They are an amazing couple (one a new Sociology PhD currently on the academic job market and one a Sociology MA who runs an amazing program for at-risk youth). They asked me what resources I know of for sperm donation. Truth is, I don't know any. Does anybody have ideas for them?

Thanks,

Darin
