We're hosting an 8-week study group for the new Udacity HTML5 Game Programming course (CS255). For more information, see the recording of the recent Google Developers Live session. In these study groups, course instructors Colt McAnlis, Peter Lubbers, and Sean Bennett will be on hand to answer your questions. This is also great if you're participating in the Games contest (great prizes!) that is running in parallel.
Spots are limited. It is expected that you're enrolled in the course and are completing a unit every week so you can ask questions about the materials covered. It goes without saying that you're expected to actually show up if you register. The study group is offered for free, but space is very limited and if you're registered but don't show up, you're preventing someone else from coming.
The study group consists of 8 consecutive weekly meetings from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. PST. Here is the schedule:
If you'd like to attend this study group do not simply RSVP on this meetup page, but fill out this form: http://goo.gl/eThVW.
We'll let you know by February 19, 2013 if you have a spot. If you can't physically attend we will be live-streaming the study group and will have a way for you to submit questions remotely (we'll post a comment with the location and the moderator URL).
I won't be able to make it for tomorrow's session too but I can get onto the live stream. Can you please make note of it ? Also can you repost the link to the live stream. Is it the same as the one we had last Thursday ?

Loved the group, wanted to see java script programming. Looking forward to the next class.

Of course, we developers are always 'chomping at the bit' to get going on something new but the Q&A session was informative and I enjoyed how open it was. I predict that ideas will be easy to come by in this environment. Kudos! Ok...lets code!

This is so great, to have veteran game dev experience and skills tied in with pretty-much cutting-edge (practical) HTML5 and webrtc, very well-mixed and served fresh, with the serious intention to figure out how to make this stuff mainlinable from a learning viewpoint, while frankly confronting the limitations in the state of both the mobile web and game dev arts. Some of my favorite JS, game dev, and HTML5 people are in the room, we're learning where the envelope is and how to push it, and I'm having a blast.

I watched it online live, and it worked fine. I'm looking forward to working on my game.

I thought it covered a lot of ground that was unexpected. The choice of Gaming to highlight HTML5 was a stretch in a good way and it was pleasantly surprising to me that people just wanted to learn without necessarily wanting to build a kick-butt game.

I'll be running a bit late, for people coming from outside of SF and make it to downtown SF by 6:30pm, it's a little bit of a challenge in peak hour traffic.

Hi - I'm enrolled in the course, but cannot attend the first session. Would it be possible to enroll for the remaining sessions?

If anyone is looking for a project idea, we're looking to partner with a developer or developers interested in creating an app based on Bully Card Game. (http://www.bullycardgame.com
