Web Platform Doc Sprint (San Francisco)

We're hosting another Web Platform Doc Sprint! Join us at the Google's office in San Francisco (345 Spear Street, 6th Floor, in the Top of the Mark Conference Room) and help document the web forward! (Hint: Some of you may already be in town for the great HTML5 Developer Conference).

Don't forget to Bring your laptop!

This Web Platform Doc Sprint is all about making it easy for anyone to contribute articles, samples, tutorials, overviews, and other insights. Learn about webplatform.org, how to contribute, and help make this the definitive reference site for HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SVG and more. If you are not familiar with webplatform.org yet, check out this Google Developers Live video.

We will serve coffee and snacks, lunch, and we'll have some snacks and drinks at the end of the day. What's more, you'll get one of our new Web Platform Docs t-shirts and there will be some other swag, too. Even if you can make it only for half a day, don't hesitate to sign up. We'd love to have you there!

We would like to ask for two favors:

  1. If you are not going to make it, please update your RSVP so that others can join.
  2. Bring your ID to show building security

And remember to bring your laptop!

I'd be happy to come and contribute again. I did some more since the doc sprint meet up at Google but the team environment is much more conducive to getting much more done. So, please, do host soon!

It was fun to clean http://docs.webplatform.org/wik... while still dealing with work emails & remote meetings. :) Thank you!

PS: what was the hashtag for today?

The Doc Sprint was a lot of fun...and rewarding, too! I probably gained at least five pounds, though, with all the great food.

Having great fun doing this and it's a nice feeling to contribute and being part of this exciting and important endeavor. Great lunch at Google SF campus is a cherry on top! Thanks, Google for hosting.

I'm so lost already in the Udacity stuff that I'm going to drop my seat and make room for someone that can contribute.

I intend to attend this event from 9-2 because I promised a while ago I would help out with Web Platform Doc accessibility and never made good on that promise; unfortunately I have some meetings in the later afternoon I couldn't reschedule. If it is better for me to update my RSVP so someone who can meaningfully go for the entire day attends instead of me, I can, though.

Since I'm in SF for the HTML5DevConf, I'd like to join this one as well.

After all, I come from a company that prides itself as "The Finnish HTML5 Company". Would like to contribute any docs that deal with JavaScript.

Since I'm looking for work AND missed the early bird, I won't have a ticket for the conference.

    March 26

  • Peter Lubbers

Clarification: You don't need a ticket for HTML5 Dev Conf to join the doc sprint (although we highly recommend going ;-)

I really want to help the WebPlatform project scale by allowing formal contributors to be more efficient and also letting Content Consumers to naturally add their findings...
