About the Talk
Responsive web design is great for web pages, but falls short when developing complex web apps. In this talk, Boris Smus (@borismus) will cover his experiences writing real HTML5 apps for the cross device web. He will dive into code sharing across different form factors, layout considerations using the flexbox model, hardware accelerated positioning, scrolling, simulating :active pseudo-state, multi-touch gestures and other best practices.
About the Speaker
Boris Smus is an engineer working in Chrome developer relations. Prior to Google, he was a physical and social computing researcher at Carnegie Mellon University and before that, a software engineer on the iWork team at Apple.
