About the Talk

He’ll highlight the key technologies involved in its creation and explain why a mobile experience created with HTML and JavaScript is a good idea.
About the Speaker
Rob thrives on solving problems through code. He has an addiction to visual programming and can’t get enough of HTML5 and JavaScript. He’s a Technical Evangelist at Mozilla and leads the gaming side of their work within the developer community.

Chris and Rob are great speakers, and the demos were surprisingly impressive. I was mildly dissapointed that there were no code examples.

It was great to have not just one, but two HTML5 rockstars in town for this meetup! Rob and Chris gave a fantastic presentation about Boot to Gecko with just the right mix of technical depth and entertainment.

Good presenters. Liked having the video stream available afterwards - to share with others and remember all the details.

Rob and Chris gave a very informative and well constructed presentation on B2G. It was great to see them describing their effort at this critical stage in its development.

It was a lot of fun, well organized Meetup!

interesting and knowledgable guys. interesting topic. 90 mins is too long - compress to 45, more time for mingling.

B2G is cool and looks farther along than I thought. (I was the one who asked about process-separation and electrolysis.) I really like how the B2G manifest functionality is also impacting the desktop experience... Nice to see some of the Apollo/Air "try it and take it with you" features there.
And hell, if everyone's going to post their job pitches, I won't be shy: Come be the awesome UX person on my scrum team at PlayStation! Mail [masked] with portfolio/resume

As being a web producer the subject was little over my head, but yet the presentation was so successful and easy to digest. I'd like to keep up with current technologies, and the event served its purpose for me.

During the Lightning Talk session, I presented these URLs

- Replace the mouse

- error, blunders & issues

Very good talk. Well prepared. The ad-hoc nature added alot. Although we should be more respectful of our hosts.

B2G is a great project. Thanks to the Mozilla Team for making this world more free.

Yikes, that seems like a lot of money for such a simple topic.
Honestly daniel, I would take a self paced course on Udemy or purchase a book, I learned HTML5 from the sitepoint books
and then post questions to the various html 5 groups when you get stuck. - You can even ping me I will be pleased to answer any questions that I can for you steven at stevenbenjamin dot com.
