Beyond Religion: Ethics for a Whole World

This month's discussion will be led by Vanessa Gomez Brake. Vanessa will present on the Dalai Lama’s latest book which explores his model for mutual respect and understanding that is rooted in our shared humanity. An approach to ethics based on universal rather than religious principles.

Vanessa is active in the Bay Area as a community educator and peacemaker. She is currently a student with The Humanist Institute. Her background is in religious studies, psychology and conflict transformation. Vanessa's grassroots work has taken her across the US and internationally to Japan, Israel, Palestine, Jordan and Australia.

The brief presentation will be followed by small group discussion among attendees.
