“ This was my first meetup.com group meeting of any kind ever. Naoka-san put together an agenda that really did live up to the expectations of the group's intent. The opporunity definitely exists within this group to practice your Japanese no matter your skill level as well as to check out some facet of the culture. That was what I wanted and that was what I got. The people seemed friendly and I've no doubt future meetings will only get better once we're all better acquainted. Naoka-san is a fantastic organizer for this group. ”

“ I enjoyed meeting others interested in speaking Japanese. I wonder how things can be structured so that more people feel comfortable enough to practice their Japanese. Perhaps other language meetups have ideas on how to do it? ”

“ There were a more native Japanese in attendance on the last meet-up. It was nice to have more native perspectives to draw insight from. It was also great having some nikkeijin perspective and a lot of Japanese enthusiasts from the U.S.'s perspective. I was impressed by how nihongo jouzu many people in this group are. Ato, yasashii hito bakkari datta kara, yokattan dana. I'm gonna do my best to get more people involved as I hope others will. It would be great to get many many participating people in this group! (^-^)/ ”

“ This meet up has gone downhill from when I joined several years ago. The group planner doesn't allow free flowing communication, and hasn't planned many events to cultivate member friendships with one another. It's a big disappointment to see this change--wish we had Brian back! ”

“ To meet people interested in speaking Japanese, but don't have to fly to Japan. ”
