Graduated last month from UPenn, where I worked with Dr. Ben Taskar on research involving design and implementation of a structured prediction model for human gait analysis, using data collected from a Kinect. The model was used to estimate human pose from the depth and RGB videos (our initial data) and the estimates of pose were then passed into a second pass, to an HMM for prediction of gait cycle phase. Also worked on designing machine learning models for predicting music genre of a track, given its lyrics and audio features. Currently working on a Kaggle competition that deals with gesture recognition.
Structured Prediction, Cascaded models, Applications to computer vision and NLP, and off late.. deep learning.
Recent graduate from UPenn's GRASP lab for robotics
